Instagram’s YouTube competitor is IGTV. It enables you to upload longer videos, ideal for tutorials, explainer videos, and other similar video types.

You must first create a channel on IGTV before you can upload a video. Consider it similar to traditional television: a channel is a destination for your audience to view your video content.

How to upload an IGTV video from a mobile device

Step 1:  Click the IGTV icon at the upper right corner of the app,

The video must be between 15 and ten minutes in length.

Greater account sizes and verified accounts can upload videos up to 60 minutes in length, but they must be uploaded from a computer.

Dimensions necessary for video:

Pixel Dimensions: 1080 x 1920 (or 9:16 aspect ratio). A resolution of 720 pixels is required at the very least.
